"I've Been Given the Name Romina and Have Hated It All My Life Until..."

Living strictly by the books, chasing degrees and corporate expectations has ultimately led me to a profound burnout. Rebuilding required a shift in identity and a decision on who I truly wanted to be. It was Pilates that brought me back to my body. Food that made be feel more connected through culture. And art that awakened my dormant, creative brain. Together, they became the bridges to my recovery, showing me that we don't have to be just one thing. I found a home within the name that I despised for many years. When I finally found the home to be the peace within myself, House of Romina came to life. It is carefully designed to help others reclaim their own path to alignment and intentional living.

From Science to Movement

I discovered Pilates twice: once before Covid, and again during my own rehabilitation. That second time, it stuck. It was my firsthand proof that the mind and body are truly a connected unit, and that restoration is always possible. In 2025, I took a leap of faith to become a certified STOTT® Mat Pilates instructor. With my background in cognitive neuroscience, I bridge brain science and physical movement. I help my clients understand how their nervous system interacts with their body, giving them the tools to master their own biomechanics.

Movement Meets Modern Science

STOTT PILATES® is a contemporary approach to Pilates that combines the original principles of Joseph Pilates with modern knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics. This evidence-informed approach has equipped me with a deep understanding of movement, enabling me to adapt each session to unique bodies, goals and needs.

Bridging Brain Plasticity With Body Restoration

I have always been fascinated by human existence and its deeper meaning. A curiosity that originally led me to study the brain extensively. Perhaps it was inevitable then that I would want to explore the human body, too. Having experienced a profound disconnect with my own body in the past, I now know firsthand how remarkable it truly is. The body is incredibly malleable, mirroring the adaptive nature of the brain. This realization drives my practice: to support those who need it most, and to restore the hope that you can feel your absolute best, even when it feels like there is no way back.

A Sanctuary for Lifelong Learning

I envision House of Romina as a space for continuous growth and intentional living. As a lifelong student myself, I am constantly educating myself and keeping pace with the latest scientific knowledge and movement research to bring the highest quality of care to my practice.

My vision is to build a home where a Pilates session inspires you to bake artisanal bread, a fermentation workshop sparks connection to culture, and a painting evokes a forgotten memory. As we expand into retreats and creative collaborations, my ultimate goal is to cultivate a community that values slowing down, making things with our hands, and finding beauty in the everyday.
